The Team

The APJ Regional Product Marketing (PMM) team is a dynamic, globally-connected group responsible for driving Okta's go-to-market strategies across the region. Based in Tokyo, you will report directly to the APJ PMM Manager. You will collaborate closely with another regional PMM based in India (who covers ANZ and India), while you take primary ownership of the Japanese market (80% focus) and prioritize South Korea, along with supporting ASEAN and ANZ within the remaining 20% of your scope.

Role

As the Regional Product Marketing Manager for APJ, you will play a pivotal role in translating Okta's global messaging into impactful, locally relevant narratives for the Japanese and South Korean markets. This is a highly visible position where you will act as a key evangelist, empowering our sales teams, enabling partners, and engaging directly with external audiences through compelling content and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Adapt and localize global product messaging and go-to-market strategies to resonate effectively with the Japanese and South Korean markets.
  • Create compelling external-facing content that clearly translates complex technical values into business benefits for customers and partners.
  • Evangelize Okta's solutions by actively speaking and presenting at industry events, webinars, and customer briefings.
  • Empower internal sales teams and external partners through comprehensive enablement sessions and targeted sales support initiatives.
  • Drive regional marketing initiatives and cross-regional support in ASEAN and ANZ as needed, fostering a collaborative approach within the APJ PMM team.

Requirements Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the SaaS business sector.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing (PMM), Presales, or Technical Consulting.
  • Business level or fluent proficiency in Japanese, Korean, and English.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts and value propositions into easily digestible external messages and marketing content.
  • Strong background in presales or consulting, with a deep understanding of customer technical requirements.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully executing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience and confidence in public speaking, including keynotes, webinars, and partner events.
