Responsibilities
- Regional management of the industries assigned to the PL Active Ingredients in Asia with responsibility for contribution margin with consideration of the standards of the respective responsible PL Head
- Development and implementation of strategy and planning for the product line in Asia in agreement with the other involved functions and derived from the global PL strategy
- Set short, medium, and long-term business targets for sales, price, yield, marketing, and growth
- Long-term development of the product line in terms of yield optimization, growth, developing new applications, introducing new products and modifying the range to ensure efficiency
- Develop medium and long-term innovation projects for the regional PL and initiate product development and research projects in line with the global innovation process of the PL
- Identify potential cooperation partners and acquisition targets and pursue the respective options in order to build up a proper business and organizational setup for Actives in the region
- Resolve conflicts with other PLs and functions caused by diverging interests
- Define processes, assign tasks and responsibilities, manage, encourage, develop, motivate, and assess existing employees
- Carry out tasks within the scope of ESHQ and trade compliance, and delegate if applicable
- Co-responsibility for the success of the global PL Active Ingredients as part of the PL management team
Requirements
- University master degree: chemistry/cosmetics/pharma/business
- 10+ years of experience in the industry
- Target industry: cosmetics or at least cosmetic raw materials such as active ingredients
- Experience in a multinational company, preferably having worked for a European or US-based company
- Strong business mindset and track record to drive short- and mid-term growth
- Fluent English and strong intercultural mindset, being able to work across regions in a professional way
- Strong team player
