Regional Ohio School Psychologist

Regional Ohio Full Time

Under limited supervision, facilitates learning, and promotes the cognitive, social, and personal development of all students. The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based Student Support Team in providing services to students. This is a virtual position, but in-office work will be required throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and assign yearly evaluations to ensure all compliance elements are met
  • Assists in the planning, development, and evaluation of programs to meet identified learning and adjustment needs
  • Delivers a planned and coordinated program of psychological services
  • Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines
  • Familiarity with evaluation tools
  • Complete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluations
  • Complete Assessment Plans, RORs/REEDs, and FBAs
  • Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standards
  • Conduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments
  • Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed
  • Present evaluation findings at ETR meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practices
  • Participating in training and meetings as needed

Skills/Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or Ed.S degree
  • Professional Ohio Psychologist License
  • Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality
  • Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
  • Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated
  • Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare
  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently
  • Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team members
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
  • Understanding and ability to manage confidential information
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks

The annual starting salary for this position is between $65,000 - $80,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
