Job Description

Position Summary

The Regional Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements and maintains operation methods, sequences and processes in the current manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

Estimates manufacturing costs, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of our products.

Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

You will report to our RME MTY SITE MANAGER located in Monterrey, Mexico.

Essential Functions:

  • Engineer with a deep interaction with plant operations but also support your department's needs.
  • Participate in the assessment, evaluation and planning projects where productivity is the main target.
  • Standardize processes and production methods between multiple factories to reach the best way to do it.
  • Communicate with strategic organizations for completing time sensitive projects to maximize manufacturing capabilities while creating resiliency within the company.
  • Support advance manufacturing teams abroad to install new tools, machines, and equipment in local facilities where you are based

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc in Engineering with focus on industrial, mechanic, electric, mechatronic, systems and similar
  • Advanced English, above 85% with fluent conversations and technical terms
  • Projects Implementation and methodology
  • Knowledge of lean methodology tools and practices
  • Knowledge of costs/finance concepts

The Preferred- You might also have:

  • Projects to be led impact plants operations, but also teams.
  • Project leadership and interaction with multiple departments within the factory and corporate
  • Identify savings opportunities and reflect them in financial evaluations, costings.
  • Public speaking skills when presenting projects to senior leadership.
