Your Opportunity 

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? As the Regional Leader for NDIS  Local Area Coordination in South Australia, you’ll have the unique opportunity to lead and inspire a dynamic service delivery team within your designated portfolio. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful performance of operations and contract delivery, driving excellence in workforce planning, financial, operational, and resource management.

You'll also be at the forefront of people management, developing and your teams to achieve their full potential. In this leadership position, you will represent Mission Australia, building strong relationships with local government, funding bodies, and corporate stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure effective contract delivery and strong operational performance across South Australia’s Local Area Coordination services.

  • Provide exceptional leadership and change management, develop and coach staff, and oversee effective people management to drive team success.

  • Build and maintain relationships with government, funders, and corporate stakeholders, representing Mission Australia and fostering collaboration.

  • Oversee human, physical, and financial resources, including workforce planning and succession planning, in collaboration with the State Director and HR.

  • Lead local tender development and contribute to contract negotiations, qualifying the ability to deliver on pipeline opportunities.

  • Guide teams through change, adapt strategies as needed, and track performance against targets to ensure continuous improvement and service delivery success.

  • Contribute to organisational strategic planning and translation of strategy into operational plans.

  • Manage services across a large geographical area.

Requirements for Success 

  • A minimum of 7 years of senior leadership experience, particularly in human services operations and managing geographically dispersed teams, is essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective strategies to achieve targets, with a focus on defining clear roles and responsibilities and driving continuous process and system improvements.

  • Proven experience in addressing issues and risks proactively, with a strong track record of measuring and reporting progress, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Extensive experience in managing large budgets effectively, ensuring the responsible allocation of resources to support service sustainability and operational success.

  •  Strong background in building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on coaching and development to enhance team and individual performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government, community, and corporate stakeholders, with exceptional communication skills to effectively convey plans, progress, and issues.
