Regional IT Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & IT Solution Alignment

  • Partner with business units, marketing, and IT teams to gather, analyze, and translate app-related requirements into actionable IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and vendors to ensure features are aligned with business goals and user needs.
  • Analyze end-to-end business processes supporting the loyalty ecosystem — from user registration and points accrual to redemption and campaign management.
  • Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents, Process Flows, and Functional Specifications specific to the loyalty app environment.
  • Support the IT PM and Loyalty Program Manager with structured analysis, data insights, and solution recommendations for decision-making and prioritization.
  • Ensure clear traceability between requirements, testing, and delivery outcomes to maintain quality and alignment.

Analytics & KPI Insights

  • Analyze and interpret existing dashboards like Performance and KPIs developed by Data teams to extract meaningful business insights.
  • Translate data trends into actionable recommendations that enhance process efficiency, solution adoption, and business performance.
  • Provide analytical input that supports decision-making, project justification, and prioritization within IT and business initiatives.
  • Monitor ongoing KPIs to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas in system performance or user experience.
  • Collaborate with regional and local teams to ensure KPI results are clearly understood, contextualized, and used to guide continuous improvement efforts.

Data-Driven Support & Issue Analysis (Databricks)

  • Leverage Databricks and other analytics tools to review app data, identify pain points, and uncover patterns that impact user experience or business performance.
  • Partner with Data and Development teams to validate findings, define root causes, and translate them into functional or technical requirements.
  • Support the Program Manager in assessing feature performance and business impact, providing analytical input for roadmap planning and release prioritization.
  • Document insights and ensure they are embedded into user stories, acceptance criteria, and post-release evaluations.
  • Champion a data-informed approach to app evolution, ensuring every enhancement aligns with both user needs and business objectives.

Dev-Ops - Microsoft Azure & Agile Collaboration

  • Use Microsoft Azure DevOps to manage and document business requirements, User Stories, Epics, and Bugs, ensuring visibility across IT and business teams.
  • Support backlog refinement and sprint planning from a business analysis perspective, ensuring priorities align with program goals.
  • Provide clarity on business context and expected outcomes during solution development and testing.
  • Help coordinate testing, user feedback, and validation to ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver intended value.

Training, Documentation & Change Readiness

  • Support change management by ensuring new solutions are well-documented, understood, and effectively adopted.
  • Collaborate with Training and Change teams to develop user-friendly documentation, process guides, and knowledge resources.
  • Contribute to creating a culture of data literacy and process ownership across business units.

Leadership & Partnership

  • Act as the analytical and solution-focused counterpart to the Program Manager, offering insight, structure, and follow-through.
  • Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders to foster collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Provide objective recommendations based on data, analysis, and business logic.
  • Present insights and recommendations with clarity and business relevance to influence decision-making.
  • Contribute to a proactive, data-driven culture focused on customer experience and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, IT Solutions, or Digital Applications.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app ecosystems, customer engagement programs, or loyalty platforms.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas retail or consumer loyalty programs (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Databricks, Tableau, or similar tools for KPI interpretation and performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ERP (GP, NAV, AX) and Kissflow (no-code) platforms (a plus).
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps for backlog management and agile collaboration.
  • Ability to connect data insights with user experience and commercial objectives.
