The Position

As a Regional Installation Engineer you will operate in LATAM and you will be accountable for installation of CoreLab analytical laboratory instruments platforms, in order to achieve a high level of service excellence and efficiency within the region. Working in close contact with RCSC as well as Roche affiliates, you will also be responsible to contribute to large projects at customer sites and will be seen as the knowledge.

Your Opportunity

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Lead Installation/relocation of Roche SWA analytical instruments and basic automatization instruments.

  • Technical knowledge transfer to other Field Service Engineers.

  • Technical release of analytical systems for laboratory use, with IQ and OQ implementation process.

  • Independent analysis and resolution of common questions and issues related with installations, referring more complex matters to higher levels.

  • Awareness of new service bulletins, urgent news from Global Customer Support (GCS), and other forums. 

  • Close collaboration with RCSC and affiliates to share technical experiences, implement new ways of working and promote teamwork across borders.

  • Support for the coordination of service at the customer site, as well as general/technical advice to service coordination.

  • Timely and accurate data recording according to work instructions and agreements, regarding related activities in the CRM system. 

  • Ensuring that all regional activities are documented in compliance with the company's quality procedures.

  • Monitoring of local reports to ensure the efficient and productive delivery of services.

  • Active monitoring of costs for own service activities.

  • Ensure compliance with all mandatory and role related training.   

Who you are

  • Degree with full technical higher education (biomedical engineering, precision mechanics, electronic, Information Technology, Medical Technology or related specialties).

  • Basic knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems and Information Technology & Networking.

  • Excellent analytical, problem analysis and decision-making skills, as well as effective planning, organizational and time management.

  • Customer service orientation, mastering written/verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills.

  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese (verbal and written).

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Open for frequent travels both local and region (on average, 80% travel required).

Travel required across countries: up to 80% of time (travels could last the entire week).
