Overview:
In this role, you will provide hands‑on, end‑to‑end financial leadership, ensuring full operational oversight of core accounting and reporting activities, as well as Credit Management and SOX compliance—from maintenance to implementation. You will act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders on all financial control matters. The team spans several areas of responsibility, including Statutory Accounting, Group Reporting & SEA Accounting, Credit Management, and Financial Compliance, comprising approximately 140 people with 4 direct reports across multiple locations: Milan, Porcari (LU), and Tirana.
What you’ll do:
Lead, coordinate or support key activities related to , ensuring alignment with business priorities, liaising with both Tax department and FP&A department as well as with CFO’s agenda and International/Group Finance teams. Here’a non-exhaustive list of the main activities you’ll carry out:
- Monthly closing, US GAAP adjustments, extraordinary/material journal entries review and approval, system approvals, analytical review checklists
- Invoice, purchase orders, payments approvals onto the Systems according to specific PoAs and thresholds and consistently with Risks and Control Matrix
- Financial Statements disclosure review
- Frequent meetings and interactions both with local and Group auditors
- collection plans approval, client advances,
- liquidity management, credit risk, bad debt provisioning
- credit policy harmonization across the different brands
- Closing checklists, SOX Compliance Certificate review, remediation progress status management
- UAM/SOD system approvals, approval of critical transactions
- SOX Compliance Certificate quarterly review
- Group Internal control key point of contact across the Finance area
You’ll be also required to:
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational gaps and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, initiatives or governance activities across multiple markets.
- Monitor performance, KPIs or compliance areas, providing clear reporting and actionable insights.
- Support strategic planning cycles and contribute to business reviews, audits or decision-making forums.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Ensure adherence to internal frameworks, policies, controls and quality standards.
What you’ll bring:
- Experienced as a professional working in Finance/Financial Control and Compliance with exposure to complex or international environments.
- Demonstrative experience of managing or supporting processes/activities/operations end-to-end.
- A proven ability to lead heterogeneous and complex teams in fast-changing environments
- Strong entrepreneurial and technical skills
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, USGAAP, SAP/Oracle and SOX-similar internal control frameworks relevant to the role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
