Regional Field Service Engineer - Implementation Team Europe
Location: Romania

This critical role offers the unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to install complex analytical laboratory systems and act as a knowledge expert for the entire region. We are seeking someone eager to learn in a diverse environment, committed to co-creation, and focused on delivering exceptional service to our customers and, ultimately, patients.
As a Regional Field Service Engineer, you are accountable for achieving service excellence across the Europe region. You will act as the knowledge expert, ensuring the successful setup and operation of our CoreLab analytical platforms.
Lead Complex Installations: Successfully install and technically release CoreLab analytical laboratory instrument platforms for customer use.
Act as Knowledge Expert: Contribute to large customer projects and serve as a technical resource, transferring knowledge and supporting other Field Service Engineers across borders.
Ensure Compliance: Document all regional service activities accurately and timely in the CRM system, ensuring full compliance with company quality procedures.
Drive Service Excellence: Independently analyze and resolve most technical questions and problems, only referring the most complex issues to senior levels.
Monitor and Optimize: Develop and monitor local reports to ensure the efficient and productive delivery of services and actively monitor costs for your own service activities. Actively gather information in preparation for meetings, delivering and sharing the outcome with others.
Manage Project Lifecycle: Focus on installations for large projects that require special attention based on continuous Roche affiliates and customer demands and specifications.
Stay Current: Remain aware of new service bulletins and Global Customer Support (GCS) updates, implementing new ways of working and promoting teamwork.
We are looking for you to bring dedication, technical depth, and a commitment to service to our team.
Technical Background: You have full technical higher education (precision mechanics, electronic, Information Technology, Medical Technology, or related specialties).
Experience Level: We welcome applications from recent university graduates and those with 1–3 years of experience who are eager to grow their professional footprint and build a long-term career within Roche.
Core Technical Skills: You possess basic knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and Information Technology (IT) and Networking concepts.
Soft Skills: As an excellent communicator, you possess the analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills necessary to bridge complex challenges with clear solutions autonomously. With a mastery of organization and prioritization, you consistently deliver high-quality customer service while demonstrating the ability and willingness to collaborate seamlessly within a multi-cultural environment.
Language skills: You are fluent in English (verbal and written).
Mobility & Operational Requirement: You hold a valid driver’s license and are prepared for frequent travel throughout Europe. To support this high level of mobility, you reside close to an international airport, ensuring efficient travel and seamless connectivity for our European operations.
