Regional Engineer - Mechanical & Fire Protection

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As a Regional Engineer – Mechanical & Fire Protection, You will be responsible for supporting, executing, and managing both new and existing plant and facility upgrade projects across the region. Your role will involve applying engineering principles and project management practices to ensure all activities are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position will be based in Dubai, UAE, and will report to the Regional Technical Manager - Engineering & Projects.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and support engineering projects across the region by setting standards, providing training, coordinating activities, and conducting audits.

  • Control project costs and quality to ensure compliance as per standards and business principles.

  • Implement best practices and standardized engineering solutions across the region.

  • Apply sound engineering principles & NFPA standards to deliver efficient technical solutions and develop systems.

  • Participate in all project phases - from concept and detailed design to implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover - ensuring objectives and standards are met.

  • Enhance and optimize process control systems for effective project execution and management.

  • Provide technical support to factories as needed.

  • Assist in procurement, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.

  • Monitor and improve energy performance at Jotun factories.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 8+ years of experience in Mechanical and Fire Protection engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.

  • Experience in fire protection system & NFPA standards

  • Proven track record in supporting complex projects, ensuring cost, quality, and safety standards are achieved.

  • Strong knowledge of engineering best practices, process control systems, and standardized technical solutions.

  • Good communication and coordination skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken).
