EHS Manager – NSW
 

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join Valmont Coatings on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a multi-site leadership role, overseeing locations across NSW, and supporting Valmont’s global mission to conserve resources and improve lives.

Based at one of our Valmont Coatings site in Giraween NSW, this role leads the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of our Environment, Health & Safety programs in alignment with Valmont’s global standards. Partnering with senior leaders, operational teams, and frontline staff, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance across all facets of EHS.

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Lead and promote a culture of safety leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and deliver EHS training and awareness programs to build capability and ensure compliance across all sites.
  • Support and implement Valmont’s EHS global standards, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Facilitate site-level investigations (incidents, near-misses, hazards), including root cause analysis and development of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Conduct and support site risk assessments and lead initiatives to address critical risks and non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with site managers and senior leaders to embed EHS compliance into everyday operations and decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain the Safety Management System (Intelex), ensuring accurate reporting and performance tracking.
  • Support external and internal audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance assessments.
  • Monitor legislative changes and support sites in meeting their environmental and safety obligations.

About you

  • A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ EHS experience in a high-risk or manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of EHS legislation and compliance frameworks.
  • Skilled in writing policies and procedures and using systems to monitor performance.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
