Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

  • You will design and implement a training program including benchmarks, timelines, and available learning support tools and methods.
  • You will provide classroom instruction for newly hired employees and coordinate on-the-job training (OJT) of all Emergency Management Dispatchers.
  • You will assess and revise policies to improve training and development program operations.
  • You will perform administrative duties relative to classroom OJT instruction.
  • You will establish and implement Quality Assurance/Quality Treatment (QA/QI) program for dispatch center.
  • You will design standard evaluation guidelines defining minimum performance expectations for each category to ensure compliance with agency expectations and industry recognized standards.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector with preferably at least 2 years experience dispatching in a 911 Emergency Center to include operating radios, phones, CAD, and understanding dispatch procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and type 40 wpm Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to keep students engaged and deliver presentations to diverse audiences. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple training tasks and prioritize effectively. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
