Job Summary:
The Regional Director of Loss Prevention is responsible for management, oversight, and strategy for the loss prevention, safety, and security team. Recommend and implement programs to guard against theft, vandalism, sabotage, violence, or other threats against the organization or its colleagues. Recommend cost-effective programs, policies and procedures to ensure the best possible protection and minimize risk and loss. Interpret security policies evaluate electronic and physical security, evaluate performance and recommend processes and procedures to minimize risk and loss. Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations and standards involving security, hazardous materials, environmental management, and fire safety. Direct the activities and provide leadership direction to the operations, technical, and support teams within the region. This position will be responsible for highly confidential information.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct operations of a multifaceted security, safety and loss prevention department. Set priorities and utilize staff and facilities to maximize performance.
Oversee installation, maintenance, and operation of electronic security systems, such as closed-circuit surveillance, entry controls, burglar alarms, motion detectors, electric eyes, and both outdoor perimeter and microwave alarms.
Provide direction and support to ensure testing of all life safety systems (fire, ammonia) and ensure training of required personnel (i.e. fire captain, AED, CPR) where it applies.
Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations and standards involving hazardous materials, environmental management, ammonia refrigeration, and fire safety.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with local police and fire agencies.
Review and analyze loss trends and reporting programs.
Execute and enforce effective programs, policies and procedures.
Ensure proper investigation and review of all accidents and property claims involving Little Caesars Supply Chain tractor trailers, material handling equipment, and all claims involving outside persons (e.g. traffic related accidents).
Head internal investigations relating to sensitive security issues.
Deliver presentations to senior leadership as requested.
Represents the loss prevention department to the organization, outside agencies, and the public as an influential member of leadership.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Bachelor degree in safety, occupational health, risk or industrial management, related degree, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of a five (5) years of professional experience conducting loss prevention/risk control assessments, consulting with clients on loss prevention program execution strategies.
Prior experience in loss prevention, including security technologies, risk management, safety and human resource principles.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to prioritize projects/assignments.
Previous experience in auditing internal departments and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, listens effectively, builds open communication with business partners.
Demonstrated ability to have positive interactions and make firm decisions.
Previous experience interacting with court systems, federal and municipal agencies.
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and the Internet.
Proven track record of successful cross-functional project management and the ability to work collaboratively across all functions and deliver clear recommendations.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of (5) years professional experience in a management role.
Minimum of (10) years Loss Prevention management experience.
Knowledge of retail and/or restaurant operations.
Knowledge of warehouse distribution and transportation operations.
Working Conditions:
This position may travel to restaurants or regions throughout the United States and investigate sensitive or confidential situations.
Ability to travel and adhere to the Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc. travel policies.
