OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.We’re hiring a Regional Digital Content Creator to create and optimize content for three FOX-owned and-operated stations in Texas. Based in our Dallas newsroom, you’ll coordinate with teams in Dallas, Houston, and Austin to publish stories, videos, live streams, and social content that engage local audiences.

Reporting to the Regional Digital Content Director, this role is focused on quickly writing, producing, and efficiently sharing compelling, easy-to-consume stories and information with digital and social users across the Dallas, Houston, and Austin markets, while coordinating closely with local teams.

Responsibilities
Write and produce compelling, consumer-focused content related to news, events, and topics relevant across Texas
Create and publish a range of content, including articles, videos, live streams, photos/graphics, breaking news updates, and social media posts
Coordinate closely with local teams in Dallas, Houston, and Austin to support audience engagement and brand loyalty
Optimize content for search engines (SEO) while prioritizing the user experience
Publish and engage audiences across platforms including Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others
Serve as an additional digital resource for local teams, filling coverage gaps and providing backup during major events
Work with newsroom teams to ensure speed and accuracy, particularly during breaking news situations
Participate in editorial meetings as needed
Collaborate with the Group Content Team and other markets to distribute high-interest stories at scale
Monitor real-time analytics to inform content decisions and improve performance
Follow group editorial and content standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience developing, optimizing, and publishing digital content, including news, across digital and social platforms
Strong writing and storytelling skills with excellent copy-editing ability
Demonstrated news judgment and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Deep expertise in social media platforms and audience engagement
Proficiency with content management systems, SEO, video publishing, live streaming, and digital analytics tools
Experience with video and photo editing (Adobe tools a plus)
Familiarity with the Dallas, Houston, and Austin markets
Ability to coordinate with contributors across multiple locations
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $70,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
