We’re looking for an experienced Regional Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and administration function across multiple projects in Queensland. This role is critical to ensuring financial and contractual success across the region, working closely with Project Directors and Construction Managers to deliver strategic commercial outcomes. You’ll be responsible for managing risk, optimizing margin, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide commercial leadership across all regional projects, ensuring financial performance and risk mitigation.
  • Manage head contract obligations, variations, and claims to protect the business.
  • Oversee procurement strategies and subcontractor agreements, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Monitor regional project costs, forecasts, and financial reporting to support decision-making.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor and support commercial staff across the region, fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure all commercial activities align with company policies and audit requirements.

About You:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (preferred).
  • Ideally 15 years’ experience in commercial management within construction or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, financial controls, risk management, performance reporting, budget preparation, and administration.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members while driving commercial performance.
