Purpose of Role

As part of the Commercial Finance organization, the Regional BFC Partner’s role is to be accountable for working collaboratively with a range of colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that the agreed Business Finance deliverables required by Regional Finance teams are produced on time and to the required level of quality and detail, by executing BFC processes.

In addition, the Regional BFC Partner will boost continuous improvement of Business Finance processes & interactions, ensuring these are executed as designed. The role-holder will bring Business Finance expertise to a delivery-focused role that supports Commercial Finance and drives overall business metrics & success.

Being focused on boosting Regional Finance teams, the Regional BFC Partner is the single point of contact for the Regional Teams they support. The role requires the ability to respond appropriately to ad-hoc requests that these teams submit, taking initiatives to align with the relevant BFC Partners in order to organise themselves and fulfil the requests in an optimal way. Flexibility and agility in finding the right approach coupled with a strong ability to manage priorities are key in making this role a success.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, preparation and completion of all defined BFC deliverables for assigned Regional Teams with particular focus on OP / forecast baseline projection, successful submissions in Mosaic, standard financial slide preparation and offline template consolidation
  • Provide information, metrics and insight to Regional Finance Colleagues to support and inform planning, decision making, performance reviews and other key discussions and interactions through accurate historical data collection, revenue trend analysis and cost validation
  • Co-ordinate the deliverables of BFC, Local and Regional finance colleagues by working closely to ensure they are produced on time and completed as defined within BFC processes
  • Act as point of contact / escalation for specific Regional finance colleagues, providing information and replying to requests as needed.
  • Actively build relationships within Regional Finance Teams, so that their needs and the business context they work in is comprehended within the BFC
  • Handle and complete any urgent / exception requests received within established timelines, ensuring that backlogs of requests are actively managed and eliminated quickly
  • Participate in the BFC community of practice for key specializations, focusing on the optimization and continuous improvement of BFC processes, deliverables, interactions, skills and tools

Key Competencies & Experience

  • Education to degree level or equivalent, Professional Accreditation or MBA/Masters in Finance / Accounting preferred (candidates can be part qualified)
  • Business Finance experience in Local Market or Regional environment, including reporting, analysis, planning, budgeting, forecasting, commentary, modelling
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task; relevant professional skills including problem solving, project planning & delivery, attention to detail, time management, critical thinking. Some experience in a matrix environment is an advantage.
  • Own-it culture, teamwork and focus on customer needs and priorities with collaborative and flexible workstyle, building a good level of business understanding and acumen
  • Excellent ability to autonomously generate and effectively communicate analytical insights, utilizing financial tools (e.g. Global and Local Mosaic) and modelling as well as standard MS Office capabilities (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
  • Proactivity, adaptability and ability to work with new generation technology
  • English fluency, comfortable working in cultural diverse organization
  • Availability to occasionally travel to align with key Stakeholders (for virtual roles this may be more regular)

Metrics & Success Measures

  • Achieve / surpass BFC SLAs as defined for Regional Team/BU that Partner is aligned to
  • Avoid / expedite request backlogs so that thresholds and response times are achieved
  • Collaboration on complex / cross-BFC deliverables
  • Feedback from Local / Regional Finance colleagues
  • Development of Analyst skills & capabilities in line with BFC career / talent framework

  
Work Location Assignment: Hybrid (some office presence is required)
