Job Description

Job Summary: First level management. Typically supervises one or more areas of a department.  Supervises two or more professional and support staff at work as well as their day-to-day activities.  Typically, does not have the authority to hire, fire, or promote but their input on these types of actions is highly considered.  Focus is on each employee they manage. May coordinate the business aspects of a department to include but not limited to strategy, project management, budget planning, oversight, and financial operations. Daily task focused on throughput included but not limited to back transfers, manage outside hospital list, coordinate internal transfers, throughput call ownership, tiered 3 shared responsibility, manage direct chemotherapy admissions, throughput escalation ownership, shared weekend call, manage surgical admissions and timeliness to OR, assist with data needs for the system, and can flex into staffing.

Additional Job Description

Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) degree. A minimum of 3 years of nursing work experience required (2 years of nursing experience and 1 year of supervisory experience). Certification in specialty area preferred or completion within one year of eligibility strongly encouraged. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
