Role overview

We are looking for a dedicated Refund Desk Officer to offer Tax-Free refund services to international shoppers and customers of Planet at our partner shopping location in (Munich). Key requirements for this role include outstanding customer service skills, proficiency in problem-solving, and a passion for providing seamless shopping experiences. This is a part-time position has may require evening and Saturday working hours. Join our team and make a real difference in our customers' shopping journey.


What you’ll be doing

  • Serve as the primary point of contact to welcome and greet international shoppers at the refund lounge

  • Provide the tourist with full and high-standard support during the refund transactions, customized on requirements and case.  

  • Checking Tax Free Documentation for validation

  • Processing VAT refund documentation

  • Managing cash balances

  • Assist customers regarding any questions about their tax refunding process to ensure its successful completion: 

  • Support the tourists throughout the whole refund process, collaborating with the local partner on site if required.  

  • Maintain the customer experience at a high level as an important step of the customer journey. 

  • Communicate with the main office and other departments in matters of daily business. 

  • Undertake any general administrative task as assigned by the refund manager.

Who you are

  • Ability to work in customer- facing roles

  • Working experience in a comparable position (luxury hospitality industry) is an asset;

  • Experience in cash handling processes.

  • Fluency in written and spoken German.

  • Upper-intermediate written and spoken English

  • Fluency in Arabic or Chinese is mostly welcomed.
