Position: Referrals Navigator

As a Referrals Navigator at MaineGeneral Health, you will play a crucial role in guiding patients through the complex healthcare referral process. Your efforts will ensure individuals receive the right service at the right time, contributing directly to their well-being. The Work:

  • Navigate department-specific referral algorithms to optimize patient care

  • Serve as a liaison between referral sources, patients, and medical staff to ensure seamless service delivery

  • Process referral authorizations and pre-certifications with precision and efficiency

  • Collaborate with clinical/administrative staff, patients, and payers to initiate authorization requests

  • Collect and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvements in patient experience, access, and overall efficiency

You Have:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and support skills

  • Flexibility and the ability to shift priorities quickly

  • Strong attention to detail
