Salary: £32,555.21 OTE = £37,355.21

Hours: average 42 hours per week across 7 days on a rolling rota, including weekend work (plus some contractual overtime required). Between 07.45 - 20.00 -  to be discussed at the interview.

Base Location - Bidston, CH41 1EB

This is a fixed term position for up to until September 2026, providing cover across our 16 Merseyside & Halton Household Waste Recycling Centres

What will you be doing?

  • Assist members of the public within Merseyside & Halton with their household waste and recycling

  • Operate site mobile plant as and when required - training given

  • Remove any fly tipped waste from outside of the site gates and fence line and maintain signs and notices 

  • Perform routine daily checks, maintenance and cleaning of plant, tools and equipment as and when require

  • Provide and maintain a daily log of events and activities at the site

  • Record attendance at work by the completion and subsequent authorisation of weekly timesheets

  • Work on various sites across the Veolia Merseyside & Halton contract 

What are we looking for?

  • Experience within a similar operational manual handling role.

  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety

  • Driving licence essential for traveling to sites across Merseyside & Halton

This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
