Hours: average 42 hours per week across 7 days on a rolling rota, including weekend work (plus some contractual overtime required). Between 07.45 - 20.00 - to be discussed at the interview.

This is a fixed term position for up to until September 2026, providing cover across our 16 Merseyside & Halton Household Waste Recycling Centres

What will you be doing?
Assist members of the public within Merseyside & Halton with their household waste and recycling
Operate site mobile plant as and when required - training given
Remove any fly tipped waste from outside of the site gates and fence line and maintain signs and notices
Perform routine daily checks, maintenance and cleaning of plant, tools and equipment as and when require
Provide and maintain a daily log of events and activities at the site
Record attendance at work by the completion and subsequent authorisation of weekly timesheets
Work on various sites across the Veolia Merseyside & Halton contract
What are we looking for?
Experience within a similar operational manual handling role.
Good working knowledge of Health & Safety
Driving licence essential for traveling to sites across Merseyside & Halton
This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
