The Recruitment Coordinator (Clerk & Recorder) provides leadership, training and expertise in talent acquisition for all divisions of the Clerk and Recorder’s Office (C&R). Supports the attraction, retention and development of full-time and temporary employees. Advises and trains hiring managers on issues related to recruitment, new hire orientation, on-boarding and off-boarding practices. Spanish language skills and/or experience working with individuals from various cultures and communities is highly valued.

SCHEDULE:

This position will be provided with a schedule that revolves around normal business hours and our 4-day business week (Monday-Thursday, 7:00AM – 5:30PM).  

This position is required to report on-site, with some remote workdays possible as determined by business needs.

COMPENSATION:

Hiring Range: $35.00 – $38.00 USD Hourly 

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills. Additional compensation for Spanish bilingual skills is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Coordinates the entire recruitment process from start to finish for Clerk and Recorder Office employees, including creating job announcements, organizing and processing applications, tracking, and closing recruitments following all established guidelines. Responds to inquiries from applicants and hiring managers regarding recruitment and selection procedures.
  • Develops innovative recruitment methods in response to organizational needs. Coordinates and attends job fairs.
  • Manages the recruitment and onboarding for election judge temporary program in conjunction with division leadership as tailored to each division.
  • Advises and provides training to hiring managers regarding recruitments. Recommends solutions when issues arise.
  • Creates and maintains new hire documentation, onboarding, and offboarding procedures in collaboration with leadership. Supports employees during onboarding and offboarding.
  • Collaborates with County Human Resources to ensure consistency of Personnel Rules and creating and updating job profiles.
  • Acts as liaison with County HR department and payroll for administration of election judge temporary program and provides backup for C&R payroll functions. Maintains knowledge of developments in payroll laws, regulations and procedures. Advises C&R leadership on issues related to payroll and timekeeping.
  • Acts as administrator of the recruitment software.  Provides HR Information System expertise, leads process improvement efforts and assists C&R leadership with HR support, workforce data and reports.
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices and works to implement continuous improvement for recruitment methods and processes.
  • Serves on committees and teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of work-related experience.
  • Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Human Resources experience.
  • Workday HRIS system experience. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to use complex computer system with high accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and on a team of division directors.
  • Excellent collaboration and innovation by partnering with other leaders to reach a common goal.
