Job Summary: About the position: This position is located at the Youth Program Facility. This is a RFT (full-time) guaranteed 35 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of youth and teen development theory, principles, methodologies, policies, and practices related to physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development within a military youth program environment; knowledge of qualification, suitability, and background requirements for adults working with youth; and demonstrated ability to independently plan, implement, and manage ongoing youth/teen programs that address a wide range of participant interests and developmental needs. Skills in budgeting, program evaluation, facility administration, and the effective management of financial, physical, and human resources; ability to recruit, screen, train, and supervise staff and volunteers; and proficiency in applying policies, procedures, and safety management practices. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and provide leadership to staff and volunteers. Skill in publicizing and promoting programs through all available media. Strong written and oral communication skills sufficient to prepare reports, correspondence, briefings, and presentations for diverse audiences. Must successfully complete pre-employment screening and maintain continued suitability for contact with children and youth, including required background investigations and periodic re-verification in accordance with applicable regulations. Must obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification and meet all training requirements outlined in applicable DoD and Air Force regulations. Must be able to lift 40lbs or more and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate. May be required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license, complete physical examinations and immunizations as required, work an uncommon tour of duty, and perform occasional travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
