Major Duties:

  • Open and close the facility, including working weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
  • Attend all training and in-service meetings and complete annual requirements in a timely manner.
  • Swim regularly and practice rescue skills, first aid, and CPR.
  • Arrive for work on time and in the proper Fort Bliss MWR uniform.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and model excellent customer service for patrons and personnel.

A qualified candidate must possess and maintain the following: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS). American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional. CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED). First Aid NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents.
