Bakery Court Part time

Recovery Worker – Supported Living – Mental Health 

Hours: 30 Hours per week Monday to Friday with every second weekend working

Salary: £24,243-28-£28,930- (salary will be pro rata'd based on 30 hours)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Bakery Court, Ulverston, Cumbria 

Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

About the Role

Bakery Court provides person-centred support to adults living with mental ill health, helping them build the skills and confidence they need to live more independently in the community. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to manage their wellbeing, develop life skills, engage in meaningful activities, and work towards their personal goals. 

What You'll do:

  • Experience in supported living, mental health, care, or social work (preferred) 
  • A genuine passion for helping others achieve independence 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships 
  • Willingness to undertake medication training and the Care Certificate 
  • Flexibility to work a varied shift pattern including weekends and sleep-ins 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to respond compassionately to sensitive and complex issues
  • Able to motivate, support and advocate for people using services
  • Able to work effectively unsupervised and as part of a team
