At Waythrough, we believe recovery is possible for everyone. We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Worker to join our team at William Tarry House Service, supporting people to maintain their tenancy and thrive within the community.
About the Role
As a Recovery Worker, you will empower individuals to take control of their recovery and achieve their personal goals. You’ll work alongside people to develop tailored support plans that promote independence, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting individuals to maintain their tenancy and live independently
Co-producing personalised support plans focused on aspirations and recovery goals
Helping people build skills in areas such as domestic tasks and financial management
Supporting access to employment, education, and meaningful leisure opportunities
Maintaining accurate and timely case notes on our IT systems
Liaising with GP surgeries, local councils, charities and other external partners
Promoting the service within the local community

You are:
Knowledgeable about mental health and recovery-focused practice
Empathetic, enthusiastic and compassionate
Caring, consistent, flexible and creative
Confident working under pressure and able to connect with people from all walks of life
Committed to challenging stigma around mental health
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Willing to participate in a weekly rota system and on-call duties
