Overview
 

The Reconciliations Operations Lead will oversee the integrity and accuracy of reconciliations across multiple clearing exchanges including Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) ,Cboe Futures Exchange (CFE), and others as needed. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction across Listed Derivatives products. You will bring deep expertise in exchange operations, reconciliation systems, and a proactive mindset for process improvement and automation.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily reconciliations across multiple exchanges (CME, ICE, OCC, CFE), ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of breaks; oversee exception management processes with proper escalation and documentation; and manage reconciliation tools and systems including GMI, DUCO, and FEC+. Non-US market experience is a welcome skillset

  • Partner with global teams to ensure alignment of reconciliation controls across regions and coordinate with internal teams (Client Services, Trade Support, Regulatory Reporting) to ensure end-to-end trade flow integrity

  • Monitor and report on reconciliation Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), aged breaks, and root cause trends, supporting audits and regulatory inquiries with detailed reconciliation evidence and procedural documentation

  • Drive automation initiatives and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency

  • Serve as the contact point for reconciliation-related issues across exchanges and internal teams, and partner with IT and external vendors to enhance reconciliation platforms and resolve system-related issues

  • Represent the team in cross-functional forums including Clearing Advisory Groups and regulatory working groups, and mentor junior staff to foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Skills You’ll Need

  • Moderate relevant experience in listed derivatives, with a focus on reconciliation and post-trade processes

  • Strong working knowledge of CME, ICE, OCC, CFE/CBOE exchange rules and reporting requirements

  • Proficiency in GMI/FIS systems and reconciliation tools such as DUCO or equivalent

  • Analytical mindset with ability to investigate and resolve complex operational breaks

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to interface with clients, auditors, and senior stakeholders

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience with exception management tools and process documentation

  • Exposure to automation and workflow optimization projects is a plus

  • Knowledge of margining and settlement flows is a plus

  • Flexibility to work US holidays, gets holiday overtime for hours worked

  • Flexibility to work earlier than standard banking hours

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Chicago, IL office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Chicago is $65,000 to $118,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
