We’re hiring an Reconciliations Officer to join our Operations Control team in Bolton or Leicester. In this role, you’ll be responsible for comparing balances and transactions, investigating breaks in the reconciliation, working closely with multiple departments to resolve issues.

Whether you’re coming from a platform background, finance or reconciliation function, you’ll be fully supported with training and development to thrive in this fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll play a key role in ensuring that cash balances on the platform reconcile with corresponding bank accounts.. When discrepancies arise, you’ll investigate and resolve them efficiently, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Cash Reconciliations - Compare balances and transactions on the Platform against corresponding bank accounts.
  • Perform daily reconciliations to ensure all internal GLs reconcile as expected either via automated sweeps or manual matching
  • Investigate variances/breaks from reconciliations.
  • Ensure that all breaks are resolved and cleared within a given timeframe.
  • To reconcile individual clients in a short position and ensure this is rectified in a timely manner
  • Collaborate across departments and external custodians to resolve issues
  • Monitoring / reconciliation of pooled trustee bank account.
  • Provide support to the Operational teams on processing and reconciliation of bank transactions for various systems used.

You’ll need:

  • Good Excel skills, especially for data review and analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills — both written and verbal
  • Confidence working with external stakeholders and senior colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset
