As Application Specialist you will prepare, develop and manage technical proposals for the upgrade of Reciprocating Compressor systems (flange to flange and relevant auxiliaries), understanding the business strategy and operating mode.
You will be responsible for timely delivery, quality, and compliance with Baker Hughes processes and procedures, coordinating with other Application Engineers, Product Leadership, Engineering, Planning team and other functions and internal/external customers.
As Reciprocating Compressors Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Identifying the machine "as is" configuration, relevant limits and applicable CM&U's, by searching within the available archives and company resources
Identifying the best technical solutions to upgrade the piece of machinery in compliance with Baker Hughes Product policies and standards
Identifying the best solutions to meet Customer's "Critical to Quality" (CTQs)
Involving and coordinating the functions needed for the development of the technical and commercial proposal.
Defining the correct costing to guarantee proposal profitability and competitive pricing leveraging the proposed “value to Customer”.
Supporting and driving key productivity/process improvement initiatives.
Coordinating with Functions (engineering, Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Technical Assistance, Sales Force, Global Services P&Ls) during proposal preparation and follow-up.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Knowledge of RCS3 suite and relevant modules; basic knowledge of electrical power apparatus (Electric motors) is welcome too
Basic knowledge of metallurgy and corrosion processes.
Knowlege of basics of instrumentation selection.
Knowledge of Baker Hughes products portfolio is welcome
Experience in Service related jobs is welcome.
