Join Our Team as a Receptionist at Lakeshore Place Retirement Resort!
Location:
Regency Retirement Resorts have 8 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna. This position is on site at Kelowna.
Job Description:
The Receptionist serves as the front-line ambassador of the Resort, welcoming and connecting with residents, guests, and the public while acting as the central hub of information and providing administrative and operational support to the General Manager and department heads.
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as the first point of contact for residents, guests, and callers; answers and directs phone calls and messages in a professional and timely manner.
Maintains front-desk operations, including visitor sign-in, security monitoring, mail handling, and resident/guest meal or suite bookings with payment processing.
Upholds confidentiality, professionalism, and a high standard of personal conduct while demonstrating respect for residents’ dignity and individuality.
Supports administrative functions such as typing, filing, record maintenance, correspondence distribution, and updating resident rosters and communication logs.
Assists with tours and suite showings in the absence of the General Manager or Marketing Representative and relays relevant information to the marketing team.
Responds to resident emergency alarms, assesses situations, contacts emergency services when required, and acts as Fire Captain during alarms or fire events.
Records and communicates daily incidents, complaints, and operational updates to management and department heads to ensure continuity of information.
Provides general support across departments, including liaising with Concierge, assisting with new employee orientation, and performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Effective communication skills
Proficient in MS Office
Basic accounting knowledge
Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
Skills for Success:
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Able to plan, organize and direct people and functions.
Must be tactful, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with residents. Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers.
Position Type:
Part-time position scheduled 4 days per week including weekends.
Hourly Wage: $18.70
