Job Summary
American Group Insurance is a national insurance brokerage located in the Heath/Rockwall area. We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist who will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, while also providing administrative support related to contracting functions. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to assist with basic contracting processes, follow-ups, and internal coordination as needed to support business operations.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer and route incoming phone calls

  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional manner

  • Collect, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail

  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory

  • Provide administrative and clerical assistance to support contracting activities, including document coordination and follow-up

  • Assist with internal communications and tracking related to contracting needs

Primary Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word)

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail

  • Dependable, punctual, and professional

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • Full-time position

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Compensation commensurate with experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Receptionist or administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

  • Customer service experience: 1 year (preferred)

  • Exposure to insurance or contracting functions: preferred

Work Environment:

  • On-site, single office location

  • Role involves working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
