SCHEDULE/HOURS:

Night Shift 6:00 pm – 6:30 am (2-2-3 schedule)

*MUST BE WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Oversee the operation of the milk receiving process. Operations includes entry of tankers onto premises, scale house, receiving of raw products and shipment of finished products, cleaning of equipment, completion of necessary paperwork in a clear concise manner, and maintaining work area in a clean sanitary condition at all times. Training new personnel in the proper operation of all equipment. Enforce and ensure company policies and safety procedures are adhered to.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supervising daily receiving operations.
  • Monitor product specifications cream fat, total solids to ensure target goals are being achieved.
  • Review Receiving KPIs with Plant Superintendent.
  • Review product quality with Plant Superintendent.
  • Troubleshoot quality concerns.
  • Communicate with haulers to coordinate milk deliveries in a timely manner
  • Communicate any issues or delays in milk deliveries with respected haulers via email.
  • Monitor and track shuttle loads
  • Review receiving and loadout detention times to guarantee that all incoming and outgoing loads are continuously moving within the time frame set forth by management.
  • Ensure unapproved farms are unloaded into CDF silos only.
  • Verification and re-entry of scale tickets.
  • Check silos and tankers to ensure proper CIP.
  • Monitor CIP system for chemical strengths.
  • Ensure wash tags are verified and complete.
  • Be inspection ready at all times.
  • Inform other departments of necessary changes or run conditions and report to Plant Manager any problems encountered.
  • Assist in proper taking of condensed and cream samples as required.
  • Verification that all BOL’s are correct before any loads leave the facility.
  • Take inventory of fluid products daily.
  • Supervise training of new personnel.
  • Enforce and follow all safety and working rules.
  • Review monthly safety reports and attend safety meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The position has employee supervisory responsibilities in the area of discipline.
  • If there are employee problems, you are to report them to the Plant Manager.
  • Have the responsibility of calling in employees if needed to cover a shift.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Must be able to operate equipment efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and four years of experience in a leadership role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
  • Leadership, team development, coaching and/or teaching experience.
  • Experience in logistic coordination or related field.
