Position Summary
The Real Estate Project Specialist is responsible for leading and executing office, distribution center, and commissary real estate projects from planning through completion. This role manages all aspects of project delivery including build-outs, vendor coordination, furniture and design implementation, and cross-functional alignment. The position will also support real estate-related M&A initiatives by coordinating due diligence, integration, and special projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end project management for corporate office build-outs, distribution centers, and commissary facilities.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, scopes, and milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and external partners including architects, engineers, contractors, brokers, and landlords.
- Coordinate permitting, construction activities, inspections, and close-out documentation.
Design, Furniture & Space Planning
- Oversee space planning, design concepts, and furniture selection in coordination with internal teams and external designers.
- Manage furniture procurement, installation, and punch-list resolution.
- Ensure workplace design aligns with company standards, functionality needs, and brand guidelines.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner closely with Real Estate, Construction, Facilities, Finance, IT, Legal, HR, and Operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and executive-level reporting.
Distribution Centers & Commissary Support
- Apply the same project management discipline to distribution centers and commissary facilities, including renovations, expansions, relocations, and new builds.
- 2-5 years experience in project coordination, project support, or related administrative/operations roles
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in project tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment
