Real Estate Asset Management Analyst

Join a small but growing team, tasked with deploying corporate balance sheet capital into a variety of real estate strategies. Our unique investment mandate allows the team to invest across the capital stack in traditional and non-traditional real estate assets. The ideal candidate will lead portfolio asset management while assisting in other functions. Team members will assume integral roles on projects and participate in many aspects of the investment lifecycle. This is a challenging and versatile position that provides exposure to C level executives, many internal departments, and third-party investment partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and analytical support to asset management team
  • Review budgets and update forecasts of portfolio assets
  • Assist in review of annual asset level strategic plans, including hold/sell analysis
  • Prepare, analyze, and develop financial reports for planning, forecasting, trending and variance analysis at portfolio/asset levels
  • Provide data regarding achievement of financial objectives and analyze business issues and opportunities
  • Prepare reports and documents for review by senior management
  • Analyze returns across asset classes, partners, geographies etc.
  • Partner with other Nelnet departments to maintain accurate performance data for portfolio investments and take the lead on all required reporting/presentations
  • Ad Hoc/special projects as needed
  • Automate tasks using AI software

**Pay Range for this role is - $70,000 - $80,000

Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • At least 2 years of real estate experience within the asset management and/or accounting.
  • Generalist mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • The ability to “think outside the box” and present ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multiple-task team environment
  • Inquisitiveness, a love of learning and the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
