Job Description Summary

Resident Engineer/Architect (REA) is responsible for overseeing all on site engineering and architectural aspects of data centre construction. This role ensures that design intent, technical specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements are consistently implemented throughout the project lifecycle. The REA acts as the primary technical authority on site, coordinating between design teams, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to achieve successful project delivery.

Job Description

About the Role:  

  • Oversee day‑to‑day data centre construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and quality standards.
  • Review and validate technical documents including shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
  • Coordinate with design teams and contractors to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
  • Ensure all works meet applicable codes, safety regulations, and data centre standards (e.g., Uptime, TIA‑942).
  • Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and prepare regular site reports for project leadership.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in large‑scale industrial, hyperscale, or mission‑critical facility construction.
  • Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure: MEP systems, structural design, fire safety, and architectural requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience resolving technical issues on complex construction projects.
