The Sample Acquisition Team is pivotal to this success. Operating under the Clinical Research Group, our team works within the Reference Labs. The daily responsibilities central to this role includes managing the collection of samples from cold storage, meticulous data entry and management within Excel, synthesizing project data and orchestrating the preparation and dispatch of samples.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts, hours yet to be determined
This role is characterized by a series of specialized tasks, each strategically aligned to advance project goals and key business initiatives. The dynamic nature of our fast-paced research environment ensures that every day presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Core daily responsibilities include managing the collection of samples from cold storage, meticulous data entry and management within Excel, synthesizing project data, monitoring project milestones, and orchestrating the preparation and dispatch of samples to designated collection teams.
What you'll do:
Efficient retrieval of samples from cold storage to propel a variety of research initiatives.
Diligent data management including entry, compilation, and progression tracking in Excel workbooks, ensuring high accuracy and consistency.
Preparation and coordination of sample shipments, facilitating the seamless flow of samples to collection teams.
Maintain active and constructive communication within the team, promoting a culture of openness and continuous improvement.
Collaborate across teams, recognizing the interdependencies and collective efforts towards shared successes.
Engage actively in strategic meetings to tackle complex collections and tasks, contributing valuable insights.
What you need to succeed:
A 2-year degree as a minimum educational requirement; a 4-year degree is preferred.
Technical acumen, particularly in laboratory practices and Excel, is critical for success in this role.
Must be reliable – attendance is an essential function of the position
Ability to have flexibility with scheduling dependent on specific project needs
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), material safety data sheets (MSDSs), operating and maintenance instructions, government rules and technical procedures
Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Must demonstrate a high level of customer service
