The Role:
Reporting to the Claims and Clinical Testing Sr. Manager you will generate claims substantiation to support efficacy-based claims for Kao's mass market skin care products. You will recognize communication risk and help to manage through providing creative, compelling alternatives in line with product positioning. You will support two or more brands within all global markets, including the US, EU, Canada and ASEAN regions.

What you will do:
- Provide basic risk management assessment of desired communications and benefits.
- Provide claims and communication options for products taking into account product benefits, available support and external requirements and expectations.
- Formal approval of all product-related consumer-facing communications, providing alternatives where the proposed communication falls outside the aligned risk profile.
- Develop holistic claims data/study plan to support launch of new and updated products.
- Ensure clinical and technical study results obtained are suitably related to desired claims and conducted to expected standards applied by external agencies.
- Prepare and maintain suitable level of product and support documentation for support of ongoing product-related communications and activities and for usage in external challenges.
- Develop content for claims related requirements for pre-market and pre-advertising submissions.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in physiology, biochemistry, chemistry, cosmetic science or a related biological discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in personal care, OTC drug, contract test facility, or other related industries.
- Solid understanding of the current claims environment in the US, EU and other global markets and implications to claims risk management.
- Ability to interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds through audience-specific communication of complex topics, data and risks.
- Able to combine knowledge of product mechanism and support study results to determine strength of support.
- Understanding of target consumer, recognition of plaintiff attorneys, and regulatory authorities to help determine an initial risk management assessment.
