Amgen is seeking an R&D Portfolio Forecasting and Analysis Manager to join the Research and Development Strategy and Operations organization. In this role, you will partner with the functional stakeholders to support capacity management and supply analysis to enable effective operational planning & decision making.   You will manage the R&D capacity management platform in support of functional planning, portfolio management and process efficiency monitoring.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Generating schedules and stakeholder communications for capacity management process 

  • Perform quality oversight to ensure integrity of capacity management outputs 

  • Liaise with functional stakeholders and finance to confirm data assumptions 

  • Coordinate the generation of capacity outputs for ad hoc scenario resource forecasting analysis to support functional management, finance and process improvement initiatives, as needed 

  • Meeting facilitation of capacity reviews with functional stakeholders as appropriate 

  • Maintain strong working relationships with functional contacts and collaborate on issue identification and resolution 

  • Liaise with functional stakeholders to develop system enhancements to drive process efficiencies 

  • Drive the documentation and transparency of capacity management system and process 

  • Create and conduct training of capacity management system and process   

  • Execute special projects and assignments 

  • Stay abreast of latest developments in planning and forecasting applications and methodologies to contribute to advances in resource forecasting (continuous improvement)

Basic Qualifications: 

 

Doctorate degree  OR 

Master’s degree and 3 years of clinical experience  OR 

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of clinical experience  OR 

Associate’s degree and 10 years of clinical experience  OR 

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of clinical experience 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS/BSc in the sciences or in management sciences (decision analysis, business operations, strategic planning), finance, basic sciences, engineering or other majors with strong analytical focus 

  • 5 or more years’ work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 4+ years of biopharmaceutical clinical product development  

  • Strong knowledge of planning, forecasting, data analysis 

  • Strong understanding of principles of customer service as it applies to internal and external customers 

  • Advanced computer and system operation skills 

  • Good organizational and planning skills 

  • Thorough understanding of financial management, budget process and project valuation metrics 

  • Knowledge of Functional Service Provider operating model 

  • Ability to write and present clearly using computer and clinical terminology at all levels of the organization 

  • Strong clinical trials operations knowledge and drug development process

124,283.00 USD - 141,924.00 USD
