Are you a project manager looking for exciting new challenges? Are you a specialist with expertise in IVD or medical devices and want to venture into project management? We invite you to become our R&D Operations Lead within the R&D Solution Lifecycle & Enhancement Project Management team in Glostrup, Denmark.  

 

As part of a dynamic and dedicated team of project and program managers, you will lead technical teams across a diverse range of activities - from internal R&D initiatives to high-priority, cross-functional development programs. You will collaborate closely with R&D management, Program/Project Managers, and key stakeholders to drive effective delivery and enable impactful results. 

 

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and lifecycle management of state-of-the-art diagnostic assays, directly benefiting cancer patients worldwide. Your Main Responsibilities will be: 

  • Lead and oversee initiatives delivering into development programs and lifecycle management activities, ensuring R&D deliverables are planned, monitored, and aligned with cross-functional program objectives and quality standards 

  • Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, resource allocation, and timelines 

  • Serve as a sparring partner for design control and technical teams, engaging in detailed problem-solving when required 

  • Facilitate meetings by preparing agendas and communicating outcomes, ensuring effective follow-up on decisions and actions 

  • Utilise tools, best practices and communication techniques to track and report status, as well as progress and challenges to R&D and program leadership 

  • Develop R&D workflows and supportive tools that enable R&D teams to innovate successfully.  

  • Collaboratively resolve or escalate issues, and proactively manage risks through identification, mitigation, and contingency planning 

  • Manage interdependencies and relationships across projects and related activities 

  • Inspire, motivate and support team members to achieve objectives 

  • Act independently to identify and address challenges 

  • Bridge and foster alignment across different R&D departments and teams  

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background: 

 

  • A relevant Master’s background related to Life Science, Project Management or Engineering. 

  • Experience with coordination of project and/or technical teams and proven success in delivering results in a highly regulated industry. 

  • Solid, technical understanding of product development and working with design control documentation for in vitro diagnostic or medical devices. 

  • Strong collaboration, stakeholder management and communication skills to align and set direction for project teams 

  • Excellent English verbal/written communications skills. 

  • Problem solving, planning and analytical skills. 

  • Ability and flexibility to manage uncertainty, ambiguity, and changes in direction in a fast-paced work environment 

  • Certification in Project Management (e.g. Prince2, IPMA, PMP etc.) is a plus.
