Job Title: Cloud Test Automation Engineer

As part of AVEVA’s global Cloud DevOps team, you’ll help ensure our cloud solutions are reliable, secure, and high quality. As a Cloud Test Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with developers and portfolio teams to test new cloud capabilities, automate testing processes, and strengthen our operational stability. This mid-level role is ideal for someone with solid hands-on testing experience who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and working across global teams.
Design, develop, and execute functional, performance, and automated test cases.
Build and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and supporting tools.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with engineers for resolution.
Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for operational issues and drive follow-up improvements.
Support monitoring, operational stability, security, and cost-management activities for cloud solutions.
Contribute to DevOps process improvements through automation, optimization, and reporting.
Ensure adherence to AVEVA engineering standards, policies, and compliance practices.
3–5 years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or cloud test automation.
Experience designing and executing test plans across multiple test types (functional, performance, API).
Proven experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and scripting.
Strong analytical skills, including experience with RCA or incident analysis.
Ability to collaborate with global technical teams to resolve issues.
Comfort working periodically outside standard business hours/on-call (global 24x7 team).
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience with cloud infrastructure or cloud-based application testing.
Experience with tools such as Visual Studio test frameworks, C#, PowerShell, Python, or API test automation tools.
Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
