Job Summary
The SCM (Supply Chain Management) Specialist in the Semiconductor R&D Center is responsible for managing material and EBR planning, procurement, and logistics to support research and development activities.
This role ensures timely availability of engineering materials required for R&D projects while coordinating closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and outsourced manufacturing partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement and delivery schedules to support development timelines
- Manage inventory of R&D materials, ensuring availability while minimizing excess and obsolescence
- Work closely with internal teams to understand material requirements
- Track and control purchase orders, shipments, and supplier performance
- Collaborate with outsourced manufacturing partners (e.g., OSAT, contract manufacturers) for material supply, build schedules, and WIP management
- Align material readiness to ensure smooth execution of engineering builds
- Expedite urgent EBR and resolve issues with OSAT
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–6 years of experience in SCM, procurement, or materials management (semiconductor or R&D environment preferred)
- Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes (wafer fab, assembly, test)
- Experience or understanding of outsourced manufacturing models (e.g., OSAT, EMS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced R&D environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with OSAT or external semiconductor manufacturing partners
- Familiarity with NPI (New Product Introduction) and engineering sample management
- Experience handling low-volume / high-mix materials
- Knowledge of BOM management and change control (ECO/ECN)
