The role:

The R&D Lab Scientist – II performs chemical testing and analysis, assists in problem solving and provides support to other Entegris functional groups, namely, Analytical Services, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Entegris’ business units; and contributes to the design of research projects through sample preparation and analysis with supervision. The R&D Lab Scientist – II manages the daily operations & maintenance of the labs. Prepares internal communications, reports and presentations within the department/facility. The Laboratory Scientist will have a sense of urgency regarding the work schedule and escalating issues to prevent delays. Lab safety and maintenance, including established 6S programs, will be a priority.

What you'll do:

  • Provides accurate and timely information on which product development and product applications can be made.
  • Carries out routine testing and operates laboratory equipment in support of R&D and Entegris’ business groups objectives with supervision.
  • Develops and writes test procedures as required in addition to documentation of tests. Calibrates and maintains small equipment and lab instrumentation.
  • Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization.
  • Participates in Entegris' quality process and dedication to customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors and maintains quality standards and protocols.
  • Participates in Entegris' continuous quality improvement process and dedication to customer satisfaction.
  • Participates in developing individual skill sets to meet today and tomorrow’s business needs.


What we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, polymer engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial R&D setting preferred
  • Practical knowledge of different experimental and analytical techniques, experimental design, flow concepts, some physics, chemistry.
  • Physical Requirements: Lifting requirements: ~ 30 -50 lbs.

  • Compensation: $76,000.00 - $95,000.00 a year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
