WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Provide direct support for engineering-generated documentation used in production. ‑generated documentation used in production.
Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, CAD drawings, and production process routings.
Maintain existing designs and develop customized, “one-off” product designs as needed.
Support Operations by creating, assigning, and reviewing engineering documentation for daily production orders.
Provide hands‑on production support, including troubleshooting, operator assistance, and quality issue resolution.
Maintain and repair test equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
Select components for both existing products and new design initiatives.
Complete engineering changes and implement corrective actions.
Assist with technical support to customers, sales agents, and internal sales teams.
Coordinate with the test lab to ensure accurate testing and documentation.
Develop skills to complete surge protective device designs independently
YOU HAVE:
Academic background in:
Electrical Engineering or Electronics (2-year degree or equivalent proven experience)
Experience / Skills:
Ideally 3+ years of hands‑on experience supporting electrical or electronic products in a manufacturing or sustaining design environment.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics and design documentation.
Demonstrated experience with electronic assembly, soldering, inspection, and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting electrically tested products and working with test equipment.
Comfortable spending significant time on the production floor and working directly with operators, technicians, and supervisors.
Proven understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems, including ISO 9001.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
Preferred:
IPC or J‑STD certifications.
CAD certification or significant hands‑on CAD experience.
Experience with surge protection, power electronics, grounding, or electrical protection products.
Prior experience leading or coordinating engineering changes in a regulated manufacturing environment.
