About the Role

Responsibilities 

 

Lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions using Blue Prism. This role will play a critical part in driving automation strategy, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards, mentoring junior developers, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient automation solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on Blue Prism expertise, strong solution-design capability, and experience working within regulated, large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Development

Design, develop, test, and deploy Blue Prism RPA solutions following best-practice standards and reusable frameworks

Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable automation designs

Build robust objects, processes, and workflows with strong exception handling and logging

Optimize existing automations for performance, resilience, and reusability

Architecture & Governance:

Contribute to RPA architecture decisions, standards, and development guidelines

Ensure automations comply with security, audit, and regulatory requirements

Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices

Support environment setup, releases, and production deployments

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Partner with business analysts, process SMEs, IT, and infrastructure teams

Support process discovery and feasibility assessments

Provide technical guidance during solution design workshops

Leadership & Mentorship:

Lead development workstreams for complex or high-impact automations

Support & Continuous Improvement:

Provide production support and root-cause analysis for automation issues

Identify opportunities to enhance automation maturity and reuse

Stay current on Blue Prism features, upgrades, and RPA trends

Required Qualifications

Expert-level experience with Blue Prism (latest version), including legacy compatibility skills

Strong understanding of:

Object-oriented design principles

Queue-based and modular automation design

Security best practices

Experience integrating with:

Web applications, mainframes, Citrix/VDI environments

APIs, databases (SQL), Excel, and email systems

Experience:

7+ years overall IT or automation experience

4+ years hands-on Blue Prism development

Experience delivering automations in enterprise or regulated environments (banking)

Proven track record of delivering multiple end-to-end RPA implementations
