JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Raw Material Associate I  is responsible to help/assist the Supervisor/Manager in performing the day-to-day activities of the department, ensuring all work is completed accurately within specified time frames, always following the GMP. At the direction of the Supervisor/Manager, communicate and coordinate with warehouse and production departments for the release of materials in a timely manner. Responsible for sampling, inspecting raw materials, components, containers and closures, packaging, and printed materials, according to cGMP and company specifications with little supervision required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform raw material quality control activities for control of received raw materials/chemicals / components / container-closure/ packaging / printed material intended for use in production for manufacture of clinical or commercial product.
  • Perform material inspection, logbook entries for incoming materials, sampling of raw materials and packaging components, testing (as required), completion of documentation and labelling, to release / reject materials as per SOP’s. The raw material sampling activity may require handling containers up to 25 Kg.
  • Ensure that all raw material sampling, testing, and reporting activities are carried out on schedule and are performed according to company policies, established procedures and cGMP regulations. Maintain records.
  • Participate in scheduled cleaning of sampling areas and other raw material department housekeeping duties at both RESILIENCE sites (Meadowpine & Ambassador).
  • Report to supervisor / manager any deviations from company procedures, or other discrepancies that may affect product quality or cGMP status according to established procedures.
  • Maintain raw materials lab instrumentation and facility at both RESILIENCE sites (Meadowpine & Ambassador).
  • Ensure documentation systems are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in implementation of corrective action plans, participate in identifying root causes, and communicate with other departments regarding pending issues.
  • Follow RESILIENCE EH&S safety standards and procedures, and understands SDS (safety data sheets)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to fulfil the department and company requirements.
  • Participate in scheduled cleaning and other raw material sampling areas housekeeping duties. Ensure the weekly housekeeping and EMs are followed up and completed in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in raw material management combined with in-depth technical knowledge of product properties and specifications.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and spoken, with co-workers
  •  Task oriented and able to multitask
  •  Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-based approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer a bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of two years of college, university, or technical school education in life science or relevant scientific discipline.

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $21.50 - $32.00 per hour.
