Rail Inspection Specialist
 

You understand the agriculture industry and the rail infrastructure. In this position you’ll take ownership of annual inspections across all Company-owned railroad tracks, ensuring compliance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will guide repair planning, contractor oversight, and long-term infrastructure improvements.

Please be advised that this is a casual position and there is no guarantee of standard hours of work, nor is there a guarantee of a minimum amount of working time.

What you’ll do

  • Complete annual rail inspections on Company owned railroad tracks, within reach Port Terminal.
  • Complete and review inspection documents and communicates required repairs with managers after inspections.
  • Train designated facility employees on proper procedures for completing monthly rail inspections.
  • Provide input on capital budgeting for rail projects annually.
  • Verify rail work is completed according to plan.
  • Provide support in a timely manner to contractors and operations employees on all rail repairs.
     

What you bring to our team

  • Experience in rail infrastructure, maintenance, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of rail inspection standards and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and plans.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and project planning is an asset.
