Vacancy Overview

Are you looking for a career that is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development, and where you can truly make a difference? Join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the UK’s most exciting and largest megaprojects.

Building on the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project has secured planning approval and Government financing support and has now commenced construction. The project is seeking private investment and, once completed, will generate dependable low carbon electricity for six million homes for 60 years
— supporting the UK’s Net Zero 2050 ambitions.

About the opportunity:

Sizewell C is a cornerstone of the UK’s future energy strategy. As the second of the next generation nuclear power stations, its scale and complexity require robust leadership and excellence in engineering and delivery.

The Rail Delivery Manager will lead the safe, coordinated, and efficient delivery of major rail infrastructure forming part of the Off Site Delivery sub programme within the SZC Site Delivery Programme. This includes developing and executing the implementation plan for rail projects to ensure delivery against cost, schedule, quality, and safety targets.

You will oversee the full lifecycle of these projects — from investigation and design through procurement, enabling works, construction, commissioning, and handover.

  • Maintain the List of Deliverables (LOD) for allocated scopes

  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and support continuous improvement

  • Capture lessons learned and promote knowledge sharing

  • Coordinate interfaces with adjacent projects and ensure alignment with wider programme objectives

  • Ensure contract requirements are fulfilled, assured, and supported through audits as needed

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Proven track record delivering multi disciplinary rail projects in complex, regulated environments (nuclear or similar advantageous) through full lifecycle from concept to handover

  • Experience developing and delivering engineering design, contract strategies, and construction execution plans

  • Strong background in EPCM project environments
