Cath Lab Cardiovascular Tech position that will support cardiology procedures at both Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital and Naperville Freedom Drive Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).

Days of Operations: 4 - 10hr shifts per week. Mon-Fri. Departments closed on weekends and holidays.

On-Call requirement: Must be able to arrive at Good Samaritan Hospital within 30 minutes for cardiac interventional call. Typically, 5-10 call shifts per month. 

Pay Range

$37.50 - $56.25

What You’ll Do

Procedural Support: Provides competent, proficient, technical support during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, implementing procedural standards and protocols. 

Patient Centered Care: Provides patient care specific to procedural requirements and patient needs (under the supervision of physicians and Cath Lab nursing personnel) within established departmental policies for scope of practice. 

Patient/Family Member Education: Provides support and education to patients, families, and other healthcare team members. 

Safety: Maintains a safe, organized and efficient work environment. 

Customer Service: Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with all customers. 

Professional Growth and Accountability: Maintains professional growth, self-development objectives, and skill enhancement. Demonstrates a commitment to the organization by supporting and adapting to changes consistent with operating goals.

What You Bring

  • Graduation from accredit school of Radiology 
  • Current RT License in State of Illinois 
  • Current ARRT Registry 
  • Basic Cardiac Life support (BCLS) required 
  • Typically requires 1+ years of Interventional (IR) or procedural experience (Cath Lab, OR, IR)

Physical Requirements

Active clinical role requiring lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. unassisted (equipment required for heavier lifting), responding to urgent requests, and working in conditions with infectious exposure. Rotating shifts, alternate days, overtime, and call may be required.
