The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing all radiographic procedures with minimal or no supervision of technical detail. Perform a variety of technical procedures with independent judgment and ingenuity. Possess initiative and an understanding of anatomical position and physiology, to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiology diagnosis. This position uses the following systems to access permitted Protected Health Information (PHI): UChart, RIS/PACS
Core Responsibilities
1. Verify the patient’s ID by checking their name and date of birth.
2. Ask patient to describe level of comfort or evidence of pain – prior, during and at the completion of the exam.
3. Always obtain necessary consents.
4. Always inform patient and/or patient’s family of procedure to be performed.
5. Perform diagnostic imaging studies under the directions/supervision of a Radiologist, using age appropriate standards of practice.
6. Notify appropriate person of any change(s) in patient status.
7. Perform procedures in a safe manner, i.e., perform venipunctures and contrast administration, etc.
8. Maintain proper sterile techniques for procedures; regularly practice aseptic technique and strictly obeys isolation and infection control procedures, prevent cross contamination during procedures, i.e., gloves, gown, mask, eye protection and hand washing.
9. Assist the radiologist throughout the procedure with all the necessary supplies until completion of the exam.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Essential Requirements):
High School diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). ARRT registered.
Must possess valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer. CPR certification required.
Three (3) years of relevant experience required.
