The Role

Due to continued expansion and growth within the department, Macquarie Medical Imaging (MMI) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Radiographer to join our dynamic team. If you’re patient-focused, technically strong, and thrive in a collaborative clinical environment, we’d like to hear from you.

Reporting to the Lead Radiographer, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of imaging modalities, including Mammography, CT and MRI, with access to comprehensive training and hands-on experience. You will work alongside a capable and professional team, and be supported by Senior Radiographers to ensure your ongoing learning and development.

While experience in Interventional Angiography, Cardiac Cath Lab or Theatre is highly desirable, it is not essential.

As a Radiographer, you will:

  • Perform high-quality imaging examinations in line with protocols and best practice

  • Deliver safe, compassionate patient care and clear communication throughout the patient journey

  • Ensure radiation safety, screening, and infection control standards are met

  • Work closely with radiologists, referrers, nurses, and the wider imaging team to support timely reporting and excellent service

  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous quality improvement

  • Participation in an On-Call Duty Roster

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-page cover letter:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging Technology.

  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in Radiology and experience in the provision of Medical Imaging services.

  • Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and empathise with patients and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, while effectively managing workloads in a timely manner.

  • Flexible and positive attitude with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.

  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude with a desire to learn and engage in quality control and self-development training programs.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a private hospital environment

  • Angiography, Cardiac Catheter Lab or Theatre

Role Specific Conditions

  • MQ Health Immunisation screening

  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check

  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Criminal History Check

  • Current EPA licence
