Boeing Northwest Electromagnetics Lab Team is looking for an enthusiastic RF Test & Evaluation Lab Tech in Tukwila, WA.


This position provides an opportunity work with an experienced, interdisciplinary and multi-organizational team to create innovative solutions to meet unique and challenging requirements in a laboratory environment. The team takes requirements from programs and applies them to a full-scale laboratory test.

This technician will be responsible for supporting a team for setup, testing, verification, and validation of cutting-edge low observable technologies. They will also have an experienced background in general laboratory skills, mechanical skills, knowledge of RF equipment, strong technical judgment, and the ability to rapidly make and contribute to decisions that balance the overall test program.

This role will require strong collaboration skills to work with an interdisciplinary and multi-organizational team to complete a test program that meets customer requirements. Must have organizational skills and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and continually changing environment. The successful candidate will have experience with high-power electrical systems, and will be working with RF electronics and laboratory test equipment, wiring and connectors, mechanical equipment, drawing interpretations using Visio, and data acquisition systems.

​​Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies

  • Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies

  • Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities

  • Conduct system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown

  • Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews

  • Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems

  • Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs

  • Coaches and trains others

  • Operates cranes and powered industrial trucks (boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc.)

  • Works under general direction

 Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Pre-Start is required

  • This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

  • Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience

  • Experience working in an electrical lab as a designer or technician

  • 1+ years of experience working in laboratories focused on development of electronic components and systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Active US Security Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)

  • More than the minimum experience working in electronics development laboratories

  • Experience with laboratory administration

  • Experience with laboratory testing of state-of-the-art digital, analog/mixed-signal, and/or RF integrated circuits

  • Experience with laboratory testing of antennas and/or RF/microwave/electro-optical components

  • Experience supporting military radar, communications, electronic warfare, or avionics/mission processor program

Summary pay range Associate: $56,950 - $77,050

Summary pay range Experienced: $68,000 - $92,000
